3.4 Full time psychiatrists needed for an ACT model. Each team has a certified substance abuse counselor, a housing specialist, and employment specialist, a full time Probation officer and 2 nurses per team. The patient to staff ratio is 10 to 1. Base salary for the 40-hour position is $190,000 plus bonuses/benefits. One position open March 3rd, 2008. The other positions open April 1st, 2008.
Two out of three full-time positions needed for an outpatient ACT model clinic, each following a caseload of 120 patients (seen montlhy). One 40-hour work week (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm) position is available, as well as a 32 to 40 hour a week position. Base salary for the 40-hour position is $190,000 plus bonuses/benefits. Part-time (22 hours) psychiatrist needed to work with the persistently mentally ill in the community. Although the patients are 'homeless,' more than 90% have some level of housing. 22-hour work week (Mon-Fri, 9 am to 5 pm). Base salary is $77,000. Open October & November 2008.
Full-time Psychiatrist needed for a 1/2-time ACT program combined with a 1/2-time position in a Mental Health Rehabilitation Program (MHRC). The ACT position is community-based in the Norwalk area while the MHRC located in Paramount is a community- readiness- focused unit with a subspecialty in Asian / Pacific Islander consumers.
ATLAS 7 is a new program in Los Angeles, funded by Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) dollars. Located in Service Area 7, it serves 116 clients using a "full-service partnership" model, which offers wrap-around support to individuals to support successful community living.
L.A Homeless Outreach Program (HOP) Service Area 7 is an ACT program that provides voluntary services for adults with serious mental illness that are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
La Casa MHRC is a 190 bed, rehabilitation facility serving mostly conserved Los Angeles County mental health clients. The position is 12 hours per week treating 25 clients with severe and persistent mental illness who are preparing to return to the community. The hours can be flexible, either one long day or two partial days, however, most of the hours must be provided Monday through Friday when the primary treatment staff are available for collaboration with the psychiatrist. The psychiatrist participates in a weekly team meeting and sees each of the clients weekly for evaluation and medication management. This is a unique opportunity to work with a rehabilitation, recovery model in an especially attractive setting.
42-hour work week (Mon-Fri, work hours negotiable): 32 hours between ATLAS7 and HOPS7 + 10 hours at La Casa. Base salary is $145,000 plus bonuses/benefits.
