One full time position taking care of up to 12 acute inpatients (average closer to 11) in an acute hospital (Hillmont Hospital). No night time or weekend call required or expected. Salary $190,000 per year plus $10,000 in bonuses and a $57,000 benefits package. Community Research Foundation programs are "high-fidelity" Assertive Community Treatment Teams with highly mobile and highly dedicated teams and doctors. CRF programs work with severely mentally ill patients, many with lengthy histories of institutional and restrictive care environments in a recovery based partnership. Psychiatrists treat patients in a continuous partnership with nurses, service coordinators, peer providers, vocational and substance use counselors and support staff. Doctors in this environment enjoy a blend of outpatient "office" work and field outreach services. La Casa is licensed as a 190-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC), providing assistance to adults with serious mental illness. La Casa also has a 16-bed acute Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF). There is also a walk in Crisis Clinic on the campus.
The Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) in Long Beach California, is seeking an adult psychiatrist to provide inpatient subacute psychiatric services. The MHRC offers evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for individuals who would otherwise be in a state hospital or acute care facility. The psychiatrist is part of a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals. Knowledge of and experience in treatment approaches for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness are helpful. It is also helpful to understand and be comfortable with the recovery model and client-centered treatment approach.
Salary for 20 hours per week is $95,000 plus pro-rated benefits.
